Sarah and Tommy were married in an intimate ceremony and celebration at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Their adorable boys were so amazing to watch and the beauty blooming in the gardens was the perfect backdrop. Sarah’s mother made all the floral arrangements herself, growing them in her own backyard. The fog rolled in off the Atlantic coast, as it often does in Boothbay, but this couple shined through the gray, with warmth in their hearts and love to carry them all of their days.
The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens is open for weddings. Located in midcoast, Maine it’s a short drive from Portland, Maine with stunning views of floral and ocean vistas.

My daughter, Aurora is now 5 months old. I feel like I don’t take enough photos of her, or maybe I perceive it to be that way. It’s ironic really, I spend most of my time photographing other children. I shot these this afternoon. I am simply amazed at the little person she is becoming, in a constant state of change.

Aurora Meets Her Great Grandparents

I believe telling the story of our legacy is so important. That’s why I wanted my daughter Aurora to meet her surviving great grandparents, and I wanted to document it. Last month, we drove to MA to surprise them and to say goodbye to my sister, Kirsten, who was deploying to Afghanistan to run an Army Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic. Aurora will be one before she sees her Aunt again. Memory fades, but these images wont. Years later, she will sit on my lap and I will show her these photographs and tell the story about the day she met my Grandpa Kroll and Grandma Balise, and how much they loved her. Knowing where we came from helps us better understand where we are going.

Molly and Baby Sawyer

Molly is the gorgeous wife of Pete Kilpatrick, yes of the Pete Kilpatrick band, and this little handsome guy is Sawyer, their new son! I had the pleasure of meeting this little guy a few weeks back. As if having a new baby wasn’t enough to keep the Kilpatrick family busy, Pete just released his 5th album, “Heavy Fire”–it’s amazing, go buy it at Bullmoose!! It will be on iTunes April 10th. Sawyer is one lucky little man to grow up in a home filled with so much love and a whole lot of music. Welcome to the world Sawyer!

Traci + Amod: Baby Belly Bliss

Traci and Amod welcomed there baby girl into the world this past weekend. I had the honor of capturing Traci’s amazingly beautiful baby belly in their own home a few weeks before she went into labor. This is how maternity lifestyle sessions should be! Traci’s gorgeous henna belly art was done by ReMarkable Blackbird- they do weddings too! Congratulations to both of you!
